Tri-County Health Department Technical Support, Multiple Waste Containment Facilities, Adams and Douglas Counties, Colorado - Sentinel Consulting Services, LLCis providing professional technical support services to the Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) as part of the department’s solid and hazardous waste facility oversight program. This program, which began in May 2006, is on-going and has involved our support on numerous facilities to date. Representative projects include:
The Clean Harbors (Deer Trail), LLC Hazardous Waste TSDF) in Adams County, Colorado - At the Clean Harbors TSDF, Sentinel provided oversight of the Secure Cell 3 construction and technical independent review and comment on the associated CQA Certification Report. Sentinel conducted weekly site visits to oversee construction, provided regulatory review of design changes, and participated in problem resolution. Once construction was completed, Sentinel performed detailed technical review and provided written comments on the facility’s CQA Certification Report.
BFI (Allied Waste) Tower Landfill located in Commerce City, Colorado – Sentinel performed construction oversight of an 11-acre cell expansion and a 12-acre cell closure at the Tower Landfill. Sentinel conducted weekly site inspections, on behalf of TCHD, during construction and participated in weekly status meetings. Sentinel performed detailed technical review and provided written comments to the facility’s CQA Certification Report.
Sedalia Recycling Center and Repository, Sedalia, Colorado - The Sedalia Recycling Center and Repository began operations in 2006. On this site, Sentinel has performed a technical review of the facility’s Engineering, Design, and Operations (EDO) Plan, assessed proposed design changes to the facility’s leachate collection system, and reviewed the facility’s quarterly groundwater monitoring reports. Additionally, Sentinel assisted TCHD in overseeing Cell 2 construction and provided detailed technical review of the associated CQA Certification Report.
